About

Ming-Zhu Hii – Editor, Creative Director & Green Juice Enthusiast.

Ming-Zhu is an actor, artist, crazy-passionate serial entrepreneur, a business coach & consultant, content curator, and a whole bunch of other wild and wonderful things. As well as heading up Superéthique, she runs The Public Studio, and is the co-AD of The Melbourne Town Players.

She is also a vegan – although, only a recent one – and it is partly because of this that she decided to start Superéthique. You see, while Ming-Zhu is wedded to her values (she’s a big, arty, yoga-doing, book-reading, inner-Melbourne greenie), she’s also massively weak in the knees for kick-butt businesses who deliver up quality offerings with aesthetic awesomeness. She wants her ethical to cover all bases – including being both affordable and accessible.

When she started talking to other people about it, she realised that they did too – she had lots of friends who said they’d go vego/organic/ethical if they could afford it, or if it were easier to come by.

One lightbulb moment later, Superéthique was born, and thus began the journey…

Cassie Harris – Contributor & Super Eco-Polymath.

Cassie met Ming-Zhu through The Public Studio in 2011 and they’ve been hanging out ever since.

Growing up in rural NSW, she’s always had a bit of a side interest in quality, locally sourced food and produce – especially biodynamic and organic family farms. Through this collaboration, she gets to research and write about these, plus all the other ethical brands and businesses that get her attention. It’s the best side gig ever.

Cassie is currently building her practice as a research and communications consultant, specialising in helping urban planning, design and architect firms to lift their practice to higher ethical and ecological standards. She’s also chipping away at a Master of Urban Planning at the University of Melbourne.
